Ciao, Bella
After testing, mixing, experimenting, and designing, we’re so happy to see the launch of Cello Bella x Wandering Folk come to life!
It was an expression that Monday Distillery’s Sam Manning always had on her mind, and she finally cracked the non-alc vodka profile that was required to create this citrus beauty.
Continuing with our 4 pack collaborations, Sharnee at Wandering Folk lent us her gorgeous lemon and olive leaf design, which completely works with our limoncello-inspired aperitif.
We hired a beautiful house on the Gold Coast for the shoot location, that perfectly sat within the ‘Amalfi Coast meets Australian Summer’ vibes that we were craving. Coupled with the Wandering Folk packaging design, the photo brief basically wrote itself.
Sam said: “The Amalfi Coast is famous for its unique and awe-inspiring seaside towns, cliffs, beaches, and stunning architecture dotted within the hills. It is a dream destination and something that has always inspired me."
"If you can’t get to the Amalfi Coast in person, we want to bring it to you (albeit in a bottle form but you can see what we’re trying to do). We want you to grab some Cello Bella, take a sip and let your mind wander. This aperitif is something that continues on from our first foray into the aperitif world with the Aperitz Spritz, so this drop is all about limoncello inspo.”
After approaching beautiful Australian companies for shoot props – shout out to Kip & Co and Bonnie + Neil – everything was in place… except the required vintage all original sky blue 1968 Vespa.
One issue – we wanted…no – NEEDED a baby blue vintage Vespa for the campaign shoot – and these can be quite hard to come by in Queensland.
We managed to find the Vespa of our dreams however, logistically it was a tricky one. With our shoot dates in the air due to weather, it wasn’t until the last minute that we pinned down a time…and then… the vespa was not available. HOWEVER – after sweet talking the lovely Michele, who hails from Italy himself, we managed to pull off what we thought may not be possible – and boy oh boy was it worth it!
Our creative direction was in safe hands with Helen at the helm, the shoot turned out exactly how we wanted – lemons, colour, tiles, lines, texture, the vespa – all in line with our Cello Bella feel.
The parts you don’t see are almost as good as the parts you do…Helen wading into the pool to try and catch hundreds of lemons that were floating away, slight wardrobe malfunctions, the conversations to try and lock all the props in, pulling favours all over the place – but that is what happens at campaign time.
Luckily for us, Helen had just returned from the Amalfi Coast itself, so she was bursting with first-hand creative energy. The cuisine, the colour, the vibrancy, the sea, the smells – all of these factors influenced our photoshoot.
So – we are happily introducing the Cello Bella to brighten up your next social occasion. It’s a vodka-inspired refresher, bursting with lemon zest & sherbet, so you can pour some summer in your tumbler.
We’ve blended vodka-inspired taste and Amalfi lemon zest for something smacking with sherbet sweetness and terrifically tart undertones. Your vibrant vodka without the vengeance. The Amalfi Coast isn’t just for George and Amal Clooney now, is it?
High spirits, clear minds. Drink Monday.
